A careless use of a handheld fire extinguisher can cause a mess leading to a kitchen closure for several weeks. Extinguishing agents are usually harmful to the kitchen’s sensitive workstations due to their high pH. Quick Fire Suppression

The Safety First automatic fire suppression system includes an extinguishing agent container, transfer piping, discharge nozzles and an alarm line with thermal fuses. When the thermal fuse reaches a sufficiently high temperature, the fire-suppression system activates automatically. The reaction level of the thermal fuse is selected according to the needs of the application area. The system is also provided with a manual activation device. Thanks to micro switches, an alarm can be transmitted to automatic fire alarm system, if desired, allowing also simultaneously switch off the main shut-off valve of gas cookers and the main current of the electrical cooker.

Fire will be extinguished in 2 seconds. The extinguishing agent of the Safety First system is discharged through the specific nozzles located above the cooking appliances, inside the plenum and the exhaust duct system.

The extinguishing agent
System provides continuous and predetermined flow rate of wet chemical fire suppression agent. Safety First low pH (8,2) wet agent is a potassium-based liquid that  cools the grease surface by forming a layer of foam like soap on the surface acting as insulation and helping to prevent the escape of combustible vapours. 

Preventing subsequent damage and cleaning
System is gentle to valuable kitchen workstations and harmless to people and environment. Residues of the extinguishing agent can be easily and quickly wiped off with a damp sponge and flushed down the drain.
